Experience
Todd Pacific Shipyards (Todd) has been servicing the marine industry in the Pacific Northwest since
1916. Being one of the most experienced and respected shipyards in the country; Todd maintains a
wealth of experience in marine repair and overhaul. Work accomplished ranges from routine ship
maintenance to emergency repairs, extensive overhauls, and conversions. As an ISO 9001 certified company,
we are fully dedicated to the customer.
Highly Skilled Workforce
Our experienced and highly skilled workforce has earned the reputation for being a full-service
ship repair company. Considered a small business as classified by North American Industry Classification
System (NAICS) 33661 / Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) 3731, Todd maintains on average, a dedicated
workforce of over 800 highly skilled and trained employees each year.
Safety
Todd has an aggressive safety program resulting in a declining accident rate, currently 15% below the
industry average. We comply with all local and federal policies and procedures. Safety pays in both
human terms and in dollars and cents. Our program delivers top-quality service at the best value to
our customers.
Continuous Process Improvement
Todd is fully dedicated to continuous process improvement. Todd invests significant time in the
development and implementation of
the 5S and Lean Manufacturing Management Programs.
Never attempted before in a shipyard, Todd is a pioneer for adopting these programs for the Marine
Industry. The development of these new and innovative initiatives will ultimately benefit the customer
in many ways-lower costs, faster delivery and unparalleled quality.

Todd's track record for customer satisfaction and excellence in ship repair ensures that we are entirely
willing and able to provide the best value. Attracting and maintaining such an extensive and diverse
customer base is accomplished by focusing on and accommodating customer requirements. Meeting customer
needs is a high priority to the management of Todd in all departments. We actively solicit customer feedback,
benchmark with world-class companies and closely examine our own operations after every project to foster a
constantly improving shipyard.
Dedicated Subcontractors
Todd maintains a very strong working relationship with its Subcontractors. Not only do we monitor
their workmanship and quality performance, we believe that it is important to build long-term business
relationships with them that will succeed through continuous process improvement. Notably since 1998
two-thirds of Todd's subcontracted work has been awarded to local, small and minority owned businesses.
Professional Engineering Staff
Todd has a full time, on-site professional engineering staff that includes marine and electrical engineering
as well as naval architecture staff. Todd invests continuously in the most advanced Computer Assisted
Design (CAD) programs, as well as a wide variety of engineering modeling and analysis programs to perform
state of the art piping systems, and structural analysis.
Financial & Procurement Systems
Todd has accounting, billing, and procurement systems that reliably deliver project and company information. These systems enable our
managers to make timely, effective decisions to run the business in such a way that we achieve our vision of becoming the Best
Shipyard on the West Coast.
Security
Due to recent terrorist attacks Todd has been the leader for developing and providing a "Force Protection
and Security Program" to all government vessels under repair while at Todd. This program has been a
model for all other shipyards across the country. We offer this service free of charge to our commercial customers.
