Our Safety Programs exceed industry standards and remain a top priority here. Todd Pacific
Shipyards has developed a high standard of safety throughout all operations. Employees
are encouraged to report any and all abnormal or hazardous conditions immediately to
their supervisor for corrective action. At Todd Pacific Shipyards, we initiate and
maintain complete accident prevention and safety training programs. Each individual from
top management to the working person is responsible for safety and health. By accepting
mutual responsibility to operate safely, we all contribute to the well being of the workforce.

Our Skills Upgrade Programs allow workers the opportunity to upgrade skills needed for ship
construction and repair. Training programs are available for the following trades: shipfitters,
welders, sheet metal mechanics, pipe fitters, outside machinists, painters, abrasive
blasters, and electricians.
Our Apprenticeship Programs developed with union partners teach advanced skills to entry
level employees. The following crafts are included in the apprenticeship program:
outside machinists, sheet metal mechanics, and electricians. All programs are
certified through the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries Apprenticeship Division.
